Birdhouse

Do you remember I told you about the Miniature Mannequin? Again I have for you an interesting handcraft based on the candlestick. This time it is a decorative birdhouse with little bird course.
You need to have:

  • Candlestick that you will use as a stand

  • Fabrics

  • Pencil

  • Needle and threads for sewing

  • Scissors

  • Material for padding (you even can take it out of the pillow, which you don’t need)

  • Lace and ribbons to decorate birdhouse

  • 4 buttons

You need to do:

Cut out the pattern pieces and apply a pencil contour to the fabric. Do it with a small allowance for seams

Cut out the details: the front part of the bird and wings should be the two pieces with one in mirror reflection

Neatly sew correct details together, leaving holes. In these holes you’ll fill padding

Notice the way I made a bird’s beak

After you’ve has filled details, sew up the holes. Try to do it with a hidden seam as shown

As for the birdhouse, I sewed to it a few cute buttons and fix it on a candlestick

Attach the wings to the bird with small buttonsAlso sew little eyes to your bird with threadsThen you can decorate the finished birdhouse. I decorated it with two kinds of lace

After all I attach a bird on the roof of a birdhouse with a paperclip

And here is the result!
