This recipe of stewed sauerkraut with potatoes takes a little time to cook, but is easy and delicious.Try it!
You need to have:
1/2 pound sauerkraut, drained
1 cup tomato sauce
2-3 tbsp cooking oil
Salt, pepper, seasonings to taste
Approximately 1-1 1/2 cups water
You need to do:
Cut onions and carrots finely. Pour oil in a pan with a thick bottom and put it on medium heat. Simmer onions and carrots till golden brown
Cut potatoes. Put into pan. Add water, salt and stew about 20 minutes
Add sauerkraut, tomato sauce, pepper and seasonings. Reduce heat and continue cooking for another 30 minutes. Add water if necessary
Stewed sauerkraut with potatoes is served hot in deep plates. Enjoy your meal!
