Whole Grain Vegan Bread

DSC_0031 copyI really love the fresh whole wheat bread with plenty of various seeds. Turns out to bake this bread is so easy. You need only a few vegan ingredients and one hour of free time.

You need to have:

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

  • 3/4 cup wheat flour

  • 1/2 cup oatmeal

  • 1 cup almond milk

  • 2 tsp lemon juice

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tbsp flaxseed

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1-2 tbsp sunflower seeds

  • 1/2 tsp salt (optional)

You need to do:

Preheat the oven to 400 F (about 200 C).

Mix whole wheat flour, wheat flour, oatmeal and seeds. Add baking soda and salt, mix wellDSC_0004

Add the lemon juice in a bowl with almond milk. Stir wellDSC_0008

Combine dry and liquid blends and knead a soft sticky doughDSC_0011

Shape the bread and put it in a baking form. Bake it for 40 minutesDSC_0021
