Dana’s Horses

In a small Ukrainian town Zbarazh there is a lovely cozy house where little girl Dana lives. In fact her full name is Bogdana which means ‘Gift of God’. Her mom Nadiyka is a real fairy, she writes a wonderful books, and makes a lot of people happy every day! Little Dana had a wooden horse but no saddle to ride. So I decided to sew a cute saddle and send it by mail to Zbarazh.

I’m not going to tell you how I sewed the saddle because it was just a successful experiment. But I’ll show you how I sewed a tiny toy horse as an extra gift for Dana.

To make this horse you need to have:

  • Fabric

  • Different colored threads

  • Needle

  • Scissors

  • Rope

You need to do:

Cut the pattern pieces out and apply a pencil contour to the fabric. Do it with a small allowance for seams. Cut all the details out

Neatly sew correct details together, leaving holes. In these holes you’ll put batting

After you’ve filled all body parts, sew up the holes

Try to do it with a hidden seam as shown:

Then arrange horse’s face with the threads. Make a small saddle with patch

Now you can decorate your finished horse with the rope or ribbon

And now Dana has two horses. Go little rider! 🙂
