Marie Antoinette’s shoe. Pincushion DIY

It is no secret that the unique style of Marie Antoinette inspires a lot of people for several centuries. We tend to forget her unenviable role in the history and sad fate, because first of all we enjoy her updo, amazing clothes and gorgeous shoes and slippers.

You can make the same with my instructions.

You need to have:

  • Fabrics for sole, for shoe side and for pincushion top

  • A small piece of plastic or cardboard (optional)

  • Pencil

  • Needle and threads for sewing

  • Scissors

  • Material for filling

  • Lace, ribbon, button, bead, buckle, brooch… whatever you like to decorate shoe

You need to do:

Cut the pattern pieces out and apply a pencil contour to the fabricCut the details out of matching fabrics. If you want the shoe be more stable make ​​inserts for the sole and heel (plastic or cardboard)Neatly sew correct details together except pincushion topPut filling into the shoe and then sew pincushion top

After that, you can decorate the shoe as you like. Mostly I choose lace and ribbon, which I pull in ruffles, and sew a small button, imitating gem
